The Trinity

There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all equal in power and glory. This triune God created all, upholds all and governs all. (1 Timothy 2:5-6, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Matthew 28:19)

THE FATHER is an infinite personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of His people. He hears and answers prayers, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.  (Hebrews 7:25, John 4:24, Psalm 17:6)

JESUS CHRIST is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth.  (John 3:16, Matthew 1:20, Romans 5:8, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 8:34)

THE HOLY SPIRIT came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit. (John 15:26, John 16:8-13, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

The Bible

God has spoken in the scriptures both Old and New Testaments through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.  (2 Timothy 3:16.  2 Peter 1:20-21)

Sin and Salvation

We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. Yet we also believe that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord, and that Jesus Christ baptizes the believer with the Holy Spirit and empowers them for service.  (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, 1 John 1:9, Acts 2:38, Acts 1:8)

Response and Eternal Destiny

God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning to Him in repentance and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto eternal life, and they that are lost unto everlasting damnation. (Romans 10:9-10. John 14:6, Acts 4:12, Mark 16:16, John 3:36, Revelation 20:11-15)

Baptism and Communion

The Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe in baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers.  Matthew 28:19, I Corinthians 11:25-26.

The Church

The universal church is the living, spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Colossians 1:18, Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 4:3-4)
